Course contents
Intended learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student should be able to:
- make practical use of digital cameras to solve photographic tasks. This includes choosing suitable lenses and settings to obtain the desired perspective, depth of field and exposure.
- explain basic photometric concepts, as well as being able to make photometric calculations that are relevant for practical photography.
- assess and quantify the image quality of photographic systems in terms of sharpness and noise.
- explain the basics of color theory and the concept of color temperature (white balance), and be able to use this knowledge in practical photography.
- assess how high pixel density is needed in digital photography to avoid image distortion and other quality losses.
Literature and preparations
Specific prerequisites
