Appeal a decision made by KTH
According to the Higher Education Ordinance, Högskoleförordningen, (1993:100) chapter 12, you have the right to appeal certain decisions made by the university.
The Higher Education Appeals Board (ÖNH) is an authority responsible for reviewing appeals against certain decisions taken in the higher education. The appeals can, for example, be decisions regarding credit transfer, diplomas, study breaks and withdrawal of a doctoral student’s educational resources. The Board's decision cannot be appealed.
The Higher Education Appeals Board
A decision on suspension of students, for example due to cheating, made by the disciplinary committee, are appealed to the administrative court in Stockholm. The letter is written to the administrative court but is sent to the authority that has notified the decision, i.e. KTH. The letter must have been received within three weeks after the complainant received the decision.
Public document
Complaints and documents for registration become public documents when they are received by KTH. This means that anyone can request the documents if they are not protected by the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act.
