Complaints and feedback on course content and structure

Do you have feedback on the content or structure of your course? Then you should primarily respond through the course evaluation in Canvas.

Appeal a decision made by KTH

Under Chapter 12 of the Higher Education Ordinance (1993:100), you have the right to appeal certain decisions made by the university.

The Higher Education Appeals Board (ÖNH) is a government authority responsible for reviewing appeals of certain decisions made within the higher education sector. Examples of decisions that can be appealed include decisions on eligibility, credit transfers, rejection of requests for degree or study certificates, rejection of exemptions from a compulsory course component, and rejection of applications for deferment or study leave. ÖNH is the final instance in these matters, meaning that its decisions cannot be appealed.

Decisions to suspend a student, for example, due to cheating, made by the disciplinary board, are appealed to the Administrative Court in Stockholm. The appeal should be addressed to the Administrative Court but sent to the authority that issued the decision, i.e. KTH. The appeal must be received within three weeks from the date the complainant was notified of the decision.

Public documents

Reports and documents submitted in connection with a report become public documents upon receipt by KTH. This means that anyone may request access to them unless the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act protects them.
