Degree project abroad

As a KTH student you can carry out your degree project abroad - both on a undergraduate and graduate level. Students who do their thesis within Europe can apply for Erasmus scholarships just like for regular exchange studies.

1. Start planning in time

Your degree project is usually carried out during the spring semester of your third or fifth year. You can complete your degree project abroad at both the Bachelor's and Master's level, even if you have been on exchange studies before. The important thing is that you start planning in time.

2. Think about where you want to carry out your degree project

Depending on where in the world you want to carry out your degree project, you can apply for various scholarships to fund additional expenses such as travel and accommodation.

4. Follow the instructions on degree projects from the school

A degree project abroad carried out just like a degree project in Sweden. Among other things, you must have a supervisor and examiner at KTH and the project must be approved by your school. It is important that you follow the school's instructions on how a degree project at the school is to be carried out.

5. Look over the economy and apply for scholarship

To carry out the degree project abroad rarely lead to increased expenses, but you should start working out the financial situation as soon as possible with financial aid and scholarships.

6. Prepare your language
