Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

To analyze traffic and transport problems, develop alterntive solutions and evaluate their effectiveness in solving the problem; and be able to make written and oral presentation of the results, conclusions and recommendations.

Intended learning outcomes

Students should beable to:

- apply relevant knowledge and skills acquired during the main studies to a given problem in the area of traffic engineering, traffic planning, and transport systems.

- analyze independently and discuss issues and solve problems within the area of traffic engineering, traffic planning, and transport systems.

- reflect on, and critically evaluate their own and other students work and technical and scientific results

- document and present own work effectivelly

- identify the need for further knowledge and take responsibility for the development of its own knowledge.

Prerequisities

In general, a concentration at the undergratuate level in the arera of traffic engineering, planning, and transport systems.   Courses AH1021, AG1104 and AG1103 must be completed successfully before candidate thesis work can commence. The examiner is responsile to verify thatg nthe requirements are fulfilled and the student has the required background.
