The course is executed in “project” form with each student placed at a leading company or organisation dealing with infrastructure projects. The work process for the selected project and its linkage to decision making, legislation and applied traffic engineering methodologies and tools are studied and documented in the form of a paper for presentation and discussion at course seminars.

The course gives advanced know-ledge regarding the work process, methodologies and decision making for traffic infrastructure projects through lectures, seminars and training at leading Swedish companies and organisations in the infrastructure sector

Intended learning outcomes
The aim is to give in depth know-ledge of the planning process and methodologies applied during different phases of traffic infrastructure projects. Furthermore the aim is to provide opportunities for experience with the use of advanced traffic engineering work methods.

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.

Approved seminar (SEM1; 3 cr) and practical experience (ANN1; 4,5 cr).
