Content and learning outcomes
Course contents
The students are required to plan and conduct seminars as both for the project members and for other students. The seminars within the project group are intended to complement other sources of information the students need in order to plan and undertake a visit to another country. During the visit to the other country it is required that the students present their project to other students at minimum one university in the specific country and also that they have contacts with other organizations and firms in order to get a firsthand experience from those organizations and firms as well as of the cultural, economic and technical development in that country. The participants in each project select themselves country of their studies.
Final seminar with the presentations of individual and collective results of the research and study visits in the selected country has to be organized at KTH and other universities in Sweden.

Specific prerequisites
180 credtis (hp) on university level and documented proficiency in English corresponding to English B (TOEFL, IELTS e g).

If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.

- LAB1 - Laboratory Work, 6.0 credits, grading scale: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F
- PRO1 - Project, 9.0 credits, grading scale: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
The examination consists of continuous reporting of the work of the project including travel and seminars organized by the project. A major seminar at foreign universities and debriefing in a seminar for a large group of students in Stockholm and a written final report. Requirements for the final grade is LAB1 and PRO1, and participation in the final seminar.

- All members of a group are responsible for the group's work.
- In any assessment, every student shall honestly disclose any help received and sources used.
- In an oral assessment, every student shall be able to present and answer questions about the entire assignment and solution.

The course is an opportunity for the students to work in a “real” project that starts with an idea which the students has to develop to a goal and then carried out including financing, execution and report writing.
Students registered for AI1114 will not be accepted to the course.
The course will be given under the condition that at least 30 students have accepted the offer to register for the course.
