Intended learning outcomes

The goal of the course is to provide you with in-depth understanding of contemporary issues in real estate research. It will also be an introduction to applications of real estate research methods.

At the end of the course, students will be able to

  • Write a critical review of a chosen issue in real estate economics and
  • Present this review in the form of a scientific paper of acceptable quality

Examination

  • ÖVN1 - Exercises, 3.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
  • TEN1 - Examination, 4.5 credits, grading scale: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.

The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.

If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.

The overall assessment entails participants being able to identify and rigorously review a real estate related research issue

Other requirements for final grade

Final grade will be determined by an approved review paper and participation in a peer review seminar, guidelines for which will be provided by the head teacher

  • In any assessment, every student shall honestly disclose any help received and sources used.
  • In an oral assessment, every student shall be able to present and answer questions about the entire assignment and solution.
