Intended learning outcomes

Understanding the process of business modeling and knowing how to define and analyze the building blocks (eg customer segments and relations, channels, value proposition; key activities, resources and partners; cost structure and revenue streams).

The ability to perform business development in context of a societal thematic area (such as Internet of things, and smart energy systems) and to understanding how technology and innovation interact with different stakeholders (competitors, alliances, networks, markets).

Understanding usability, business life-cycles, market segments and trends, and recognizing their relative importance for product and service development.

Knowing how to transform innovations into viable business solutions.

The ability to reflect upon ethical, societal, scientific and sustainability considerations when developing products, services and business models.
