Intended learning outcomes *

This course will help the student develop written and presentation communication skills for academic audiences. The aims of the course are for the student to develop the skills to:

•  grasp the field of scientific publication in the broader disciplinary context

•  analyse the publication options in the discipline to develop a strategy for a publication,

•  prepare and submit a paper for consideration in a relevant academic journal

•  prepare and give a conference presentation based upon the submitted paper
