Content and learning outcomes
Course contents
The student selects together with her/his supervisor activities leading to a fulfillment of the course objectives. Recommendations are:
- participation in international summer schools
- visits to international research groups outside of KTH
- refereeing activities for international journals and/or conferences
- participation in the organization of international scientific events
- international conference participation for which no credit is given in FAH3460 or any other course
Alternative activities are possible and should be agreed upon with the examiner.
Intended learning outcomes
Doctoral students get exposed to, become visible in, and familiarize themselves with the international research landscape in transport science.

Enrollment in doctoral program in transport science or similar subjects with completed initial literature review or equivalent.

Examination and completion
If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.

- PRA1 - Practical training, 4.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
Participation in instances of the international activities indicated above. The student’s supervisor judges when a participation level equivalent to 4 ECTS has been reached and submits a recommendation to the examiner, indicating at least the type and extent of each activity.
Opportunity to complete the requirements via supplementary examination
