FDD3316 Robotics, Reading Group 6.0 credits

This is a reading group covering the wide and interdisciplinary research area of robotics. Each seminar typically focuses on one specific paper which participants are expected to read before the session. At the session the paper is presented and discussed together. Topics are defined based on interest of the participants and to get a good overview of the field.

Intended learning outcomes
After passing the course, the students should be able to:
- Demonstrate broad knowledge in robotics by presenting and discussing topics outside own specific research topic
- Demonstrate the ability to critically review—in speech and writing—latest research findings
- Demonstrate the ability to reflect over the peers’ views

The student must carry out research on a PhD level within the field of robotics or a similar area of research.

If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.

Examination
- EXA1 - Examination, 6.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
Other requirements for final grade
Active participation in at least 24 seminar sessions, presenting at at least two of these.
