Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

The coursedescribes the new view on business logisticsas a consequence of increased competition, globalization, higher capital costs, and the newinformation technology, IT.Supported by exercises intensified studies are made about storage costs, procurement and distribution.

The teaching contains of integrated lessons and seminars and includes various types of exercises.

Intended learning outcomes

The target of the course is to give the students increased understanding about flow efficiency of goods, services, information and capital in a cost efficient and customer adapted way in the company.

After finished the course the student should be able to identify and describe essential logistics-related terms and activities within the logistics process, should have good awareness of the logistics’ role and substance in companies and the society, in a structured way be able to describe and handle aspects on warehousing, inbound logistics and outbound distribution within logistics effectiveness.

HU1900 Business Economics and Organizational Behavior and mininum 75hp within an accrediated program at KTH.
