  • simplify algebraic expressions
  • determine function domains and carry out calculations involving powers, roots, logarithms, rational and trigonometric functions
  • solve quadratic equations
  • determine derivatives and integrals of commonly used functions, including simple applications
  • solve logarithmic and trigonometric equations
