LT1054 The Teaching Process: Plan, Implement and Evaluate 6.0 credits

The course focuses on applying the teaching process (Plan - Carry out - Evaluate).
This implies that planning, assessment and grading is performed in accordance with the regulations of the school.
It includes practical exercises in which constructive alignment with goal formulation is applied in the design of learning activities and in different forms of examination. The course discusses summative and formative assessment as teaching tools, as well as the use of physical and digital learning resources.

After passing the course, the student should be able to:

1. Use relevant regulations to plan teaching that supports pupils' learning

2. Give an account of the meaning of key concepts covered in the course

3. Critically evaluate different forms of assessment

4. Use constructive alignment in planning that promotes pupils' learning

5. Evaluate qualities and weaknesses in their own design of learning

General entry requirements for higher education

• INL3 - Hand-in assignment, 4.0 credits, grading scale: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F
• SEM3 - Seminar, 2.0 credits, grading scale: P, F

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.

The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.

If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.
