The course aims to give students a better understanding of how the programme is structured and how the individual courses together contribute to providing the knowledge required for a subject teacher qualification through reflection on the conditions for learning and the similarities and differences between the teaching profession and previous experiences.
The course is spread over the entire duration of the programme.
After completing the course, students should be able to:
1 reflect on their own study techniques and the type of learning they lead to
2 relate previous educational and professional experiences to their studies and future teaching assignments
3 create a personal overview of the components of the programme and describe the common thread in the programme (or create their own) and see the progression in both subject knowledge and generic competences in relation to the programme's objectives and the teaching profession
4 identify their need for further knowledge in order to continuously develop their competences and create routines for lifelong learning
5 reflect on how your own and others' degree projects can contribute to the student's future teaching role
