Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

The course primarily addresses the following themes:

  • A historical overview of how artificial intelligence technology has developed

  • Critical perspectives on artificial intelligence and its development

  • Opportunities and risks associated with artificial intelligence in the coming decades

  • Ethical aspects related to artificial intelligence today and in the future

  • Teaching in compulsory school about technological, societal, and ethical perspectives on artificial intelligence

Intended learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student should be able to:

1. Account for and discuss the impact of AI on individuals and society from democratic, ethical, and social perspectives

2. Describe how artificial intelligence technology has developed since the establishment of the field up to the present day

3. Account for key features of national and international guidelines, standards, laws, and regulations relevant to the development and use of AI

4. Plan and evaluate teaching about the above aspects of AI for pupils in compulsory school
