Engineers at all levels in an organisation affect the well-being of the humans within the system. The goal of psychology for engineers is to increase understanding of one self as well as others. The course is essential for further studies in work organization, management and human factors.

- Developmental psychology: children, adolescence and adulthood;
- Perception and cognitive psychology: perception, memory, thinking and problem solving;
- Motivation, emotions, personality;
- Social psychology: management, working groups, stress;
- Work psychology: work in different environments e.g. complex systems.
Project: A literature study of a psychological issue.
Intended learning outcomes
After completing the course the student will be able to:
- Have an understanding of the basic facts of developmental psychology, perception psychology, social psychology and work psychology;
- Have an increased understanding of the human being and working life;
- Be able to use his/her knowledge at the design of information and production system, as well as work organization and management;
- Be able to present a project of his/her own choice orally as well as in writing.
