Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

This course is built on research in the fields entrepreneurship and organisational psychology and is designed to give the participants the theories and practical tools that are needed to solve problems and the possibilities that comes with developing and leading oneself and others in entrepreneurship.

In this framework, the course will bring up questions of particular importance for entrepreneurs and those who are interested in facilitating entrepreneurship in their organisations, developing a spirit of entrepreneurship, justifying and developing oneself and others, being creative and innovative, building and maintaining a supporting network as well as developing efficient entrepreneurial teams.

Intended learning outcomes

After passing the course, the students should be able to:

  • Analyse and explain the importance of entrepreneurship in the life the work and for the society as a whole
  • Demonstrate understanding of the most common challenges that come of to start large personal aims in the life and the work and demonstrate how individuals can remain entrepreneurial
  • Understand the role that motivation and determination play in entrepreneurship; their predecessors, effects and the relation to personal development and growth, and how these can be stimulated and be maintained.
  • Understand the dynamics in entrepreneurial teams and the role of the perspective-taking in these groups, as well as argue for how different strategies can be used when one creates a sustainable entrepreneurial team
  • Learn to recognise the importance of feelings in general and well-being in particular for growth and innovation power, as well as to acknowledge and develop one's own (entrepreneurial) mind-set for success.

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
