Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

The course will give you opportunity to deepen or broaden your knowledge beyond what is treated in the compulsory courses in the aeronautical program. The choise of topic will mainly depend on what the teachers consider to be relevant, but also depends on your requests. Some year the course can treat a topic that is not covered in the other courses, such as aeroacoustics. Another year, an advanced course in aeroelasticity can be given. The method of working will also vary. Some year a project is launched, another year a course based on lectures is given.

Intended learning outcomes

Since the content of the course varies, no specific learning objectives are stated. The topic and more detailed objectives will be presented in due time.

The overall objectives with the course are that you should:

  • have deepened your knowledge in a state-of-the-art topic in aeronautics or alternatively, have broadened your knowledge in aeronautics.
  • be able to describe current problems and methods in an aeronautical topic that is close to industrial application and/or the research frontier.
