Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

The course will give the student knowledge of theoretical and numerical methods for analysis of dynamically loaded structures including applications.

Intended learning outcomes

After the course, the participant should be able to

- explain concepts used in the course for dynamic problems

- use Fourier series and spectra as working tools in dynamic analysis

- describe the dynamics of thin beams, plates with or without membrane loads

- solve dynamic model problems with analytical methods

- use FE-analysis to determine eigen frequencies and modes.
