The over all objective of the course is to give insight in how scenography and architecture can be used to change an existing context temporarily, in order to communicate an artistic work or concept.
The course is organised as a design project for a group work. The task is to suggest a set-design with a film-installation at Modern Dance Theatre in Stockholm.
On comleting the course, the student is expectet to aquire the following capabilities:
- knowledge about working with projections and scenografic light
- knowledge about an interactive and interdisciplinary working process
- ability to understand perception and time as a reflection of the present and as a media for manipulation
The course includes model and full scale group-workshops about fenomena, perception, scenography and projections.
Besides there will be seminars, lectures and excursions with the following themes:
-projection and light design
- film and performance
- scenografy-architecture-exhibitiondesign: differece, potential and synergies
Grundläggande behörighet: Avslutad gymnasieutbildning eller motsvarande, inkl. svenska och engelska.

If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability. The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
To obtain the grade passed on the whole course, 80% attendance at all teaching sessions and passed on all items (MOM1, MOM2) are required.
