The main objective of the course is to provide basic knowledge of the modern built heritage and the problems connected to its preservation, with a focus on Sweden and Europe. The modern world heritage sites are included in the scope. After the course, the participant should have a good overview of the field's history and theory and be familiar with its key references in the form of buildings, restoration projects, historiography and source texts.

Course contents *

The course consists of lectures, text seminars and excursions. An individual assignment is to be reported at the end of the course. The course literature, which contains overviews and source texts, is discussed and examined currently at seminars.

The student shall be able to apply this knowledge independently in an individual assignment.

Course Disposition

The course is scheduled for approximately six whole days at KTH. The course literature is examined currently at seminars. An individual assignment is to be reported at the end of the course.

The course contains 2 moments, MOM1 and MOM2. For final grade, both moments have to be passed, and 80% attendance at all tuition is required.
