Course contents *

The project concept. Project management tools and methods. Project planning. Project organizing. Procurement. Project control. Project communication. Risk management and context analysis. The design process, including actors, organization and information- and communication needs.

Intended learning outcomes *

The course teaches and explains innovation and project management. This includes managing separate projects as well as managing multi project organizations. In particular the course includes tasks and tools for managing the design process.

The aim is to prepare the participants for work in project-based organizations.

After the course, the participants shall:

  1. Be familiar with, and be able to apply, basic project management concepts and methods.

  2. Be familiar with the basic work tasks a project manager. Be familiar with the context and its effects on the project process.

  3. Be familiar with the project stakeholders and their roles.

  4. Be able to develop a minor project plan.
