Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Service management. Business concepts, goals and strategies. Economic planning. Venture capital. Development of business plan.

Intended learning outcomes

Knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship, service management and leadership, writing business plans, financing with venture capital, marketing, development of organizations.

Literature and preparations

Specific prerequisites

For students not attending a KTH programme (Engineering programmes) the following requirements have to be fulfilled.

  • Completed upper secondary schooling including proficiency in Swedish and English. For English spoken courses, proficiency in English only and
  • 120 hp (Swedish credits) at university level.

Examination

  • PRO1 - Project, 7.5 credits, grading scale: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.

The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.

If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.

Other requirements for final grade

Coursework and attendance at 50% of the lectures (PRO1; 7,5hp).

Ethical approach

  • All members of a group are responsible for the group's work.
  • In any assessment, every student shall honestly disclose any help received and sources used.
  • In an oral assessment, every student shall be able to present and answer questions about the entire assignment and solution.
