Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

Central problems and concepts in research ethics, relevant legal frameworks and codes of conduct, concrete discussion cases. 

Intended learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to prepare students for a professional research career. After completing it,

students should: be familiar with the most central laws, rules, and practices that govern research; be able to make independent ethical judgments about research in their own fields with support in central research ethical concepts; know how to find practical guidance if they encounter complex research ethical problems.
