Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

The course is a seminar course and examines presentation and active participaton in the higher seminar series organized by the director of PhD studies responsible for the specalisations "Strategies for sustainability" and "environmental strategic analysis", and the director of PhD studies responsible for the specialisation Urban and regional studies (within the subject Planning and Decision Analysis). The purpose of the seminars is to discuss concrete written work (paper draft for a journal or conference, part of a PhD chapter or a 'kappa', etc.) presented by the PhD-students.

Intended learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to give deeper insights in topics of relevance for Planning and Decision analysis including the specialisations Urban and regional studies, Environmental strategic analysis/strategies for sustainability and Risk and safety. The aim is also to give students ability to present and discuss research methods and results.

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.

The students can participate in seminars both at SEED and URS.

Examination of the course is done through one presentation (1 cr) in a higher seminar in combination with prepared and active participation in 17 seminars (0.2 cr each).
