FHK3007 Seminar Course in Technology and Health 2.5 credits

The overall purpose of the course is to offer insights into research-based and theoretical aspects in technology and health as well as give the experience in presenting their own research and scrutinize other doctoral students’ research.

Content and learning outcomes

Course disposition

The course is subdivided into seminars, hereby giving the student an opportunity to explore a particular theme and to become acquainted with a research practice. Each seminar is supervised by a lecturer with research background.

Course contents

  • Participation in scientific seminar
  • Reflection on how the content and form of the seminars will/were applied for improving ongoing PhD studies.

Intended learning outcomes

After completion of the course the doctoral student should have the knowledge and ability to

  • describe and explain the theories and empirical findings in their specialist area
  • present and discuss research findings from their own scientific studies
  • critically analyze and evaluate the methods and results from their own and others scientific studies

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.

The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.

If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.
