Intended learning outcomes
- To give students a broad understanding of the role of theory in the research process.
- To explore the various theories that have been developed in marketing and allied disciplines such as economics, management, psychology, and sociology.
- To explore more broadly and investigate the possible application of theories from such diverse disciplines as mathematics and physics, anthropology, and drama to marketing.
- To apply theories to research problems in marketing, with the aim of writing a dissertation or thesis, or a scholarly paper.
