The doctoral students construct in dialogue with the teacher in school projects and course material that are used in school. The doctoral students are a support for the teacher during the students' work and reporting of the projects.

Upon completion of the course, the student will:

be able to construct projects and course materials that can be used in the mathematics education in school.

be able to develop and problematize teaching based on their practical experience of school work.

be able to develop learning activities and plan for these in collaboration between university and elementary school/gymnasium.

A Master degree including at least 30 university credits (hp) in mathematics.

The course literature is selected by the doctoral student in consultation with the examiner and the teacher at the school
Examination and completion
If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.

- INL1 - Assignment, 3.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
- PRO1 - Project work, 4.5 credits, grading scale: P, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
Documentation of the projects and related teaching materials together with the evaluation of the projects has to be provided to the examiner.

- In any assessment, every student shall honestly disclose any help received and sources used.
- In an oral assessment, every student shall be able to present and answer questions about the entire assignment and solution.
