ME2306 Biotechnology - Business - Leadership 12.0 credits

The core of the course is a real project ordered by a company operating within the biotechnology sector. Students work in groups of 3 to 4 students and solve the project with help of systematic and theoretically grounded analysis.

A report, a midterm essay and a final essay are handed in throughout the course.

The aim of the course is to integrate the student’s previous studies within biotechnology, economics and leadership. This is done by studying problems that are so complex that, for their solution, they require competence within more than one area of knowledge.

The student should be accepted to the 4th year of the I-program, specialization Biotechnology and Industrial Management.

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.

The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.

Final grades are based on the final essay, as well as on active participation in the course’s seminars.
