Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

Topological dynamics. Low-dimensional dynamics, especially circle maps and interval maps. Hyperbolic dynamics. Symbolic dynamics and coding.

Specialization in some branch of dynamical systems.

Intended learning outcomes

After the course the student should be able to

  • explain basic concepts and theorems within the parts of dynamical systems described by the course content.
  • Use concepts. theorems and methods to solve and present solutions to problems within the parts described by the course content.
