Hallå and Namaste!

Hello everyone! I’m your new digital ambassador and I couldn’t be more excited to pen down my very first blog for KTH! This marks the beginning of a thrilling journey, and I’m eagerly looking forward to exchanging ideas and experiences with all of you. Allow me to offer you a sneak peek into who I am.

About me

I’m Srikar (you can also call me Sai), 26 years old and I come from Hyderabad, located in the southern part of India. With a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, I ventured into the professional world for a few years as an Automation Engineer in India. Now, a new chapter unfolds as I begin my master’s programme in Communication Systems right here at KTH.

You know that feeling you get when you step into the unknown, a place where everything is different from what you’re accustomed to? Well, that’s precisely what I’m experiencing right now. Europe has always been a distant dream, and now that I’m here, it feels like a dream come true. Transitioning from a bustling and warm Indian city to the serene tranquility of Stockholm is a substantial change, albeit a delightful one.

If you’re interested in delving deeper into my decision-making journey and the timeline that led me to choose KTH, please feel free to let me know in the comments below and I might make a post on that topic.

I was extremely lucky to witness the Northern Lights

I’m deeply passionate about travelling and hiking, and my creative pursuits include playing the flute, as well as my love for crafting 2D animations. You’ll often find me dedicating hours to bringing characters to life through animation.

In the 1 month since my arrival to Stockholm, I’ve travelled to Italy and Norway with my sister, who also resides in Sweden. I was incredibly fortunate to witness the breathtaking beauty of the Northern Lights right here in Stockholm, thanks to an event organised by THS International Reception. Additionally, I had the pleasure of attending a thrilling football match where Sweden faced off against Austria. All in all, it’s been an eventful and unforgettable month.

As the lectures have commenced, nowadays I find myself fully engaged in the courses, and it’s become clear why KTH ranks among the world’s leaders. The educational experience so far has been exceptional.

To a new beginning!

As I begin my journey at KTH, I’m genuinely excited to explore the student life with all of you. From the picturesque landscapes to the vibrant cities, there’s so much to discover, and I can’t wait to share my experiences and insights with you.

So, fasten your seatbelts and join me on this adventure. Together, we’ll explore the life as a student at KTH, uncover the treasures of Sweden, embrace the culture, and make memories that will last a lifetime. Stay tuned for more stories, tips, and inspiration coming your way as I navigate through this enchanting Scandinavian wonderland.

To new beginnings and unforgettable adventures! 🌍🇸🇪✨
