In Canvas, there are course rooms where teachers and examiners communicate with you during the course. When any changes are made in a course room, you will receive a notification by email. Here you can read about notification settings and how to change them.
Forwarding your KTH email
On the web page
Email forward
, you will find information on how to forward your KTH email to a private email address. This may be relevant since notifications from Canvas are sent to your KTH email.
User settings in Canvas
In Canvas, you can manage the settings for your user account yourself, such as your name, language, time zone, and contact details. It is a good idea to check these settings to ensure that information is displayed correctly and that you do not miss anything important.
A notification is sent to your KTH email when something happens on your course Canvas page. This can, for example, occur when a new assignment is published. The notification is a brief summary of what has changed, and you as a student can choose which notifications you want to receive from Canvas and how often you want to receive them. You can configure notification settings both at the individual course level and at the account level.
Note! Notification settings at the course level are inherited from your account-level notification settings, but settings made at the course level apply only to that specific course. This means that if you change your course-level notifications, those settings will override the settings you have made at the account level.
You can find explanations of the different notification settings in the table below, as well as an overview of the default settings for students. These are settings you can edit, depending on the kind of notifications you want to get from your courses and how often you want to get them.
