Daniel Simões Marta

I joined the Robotics Perception and Learning (RPL) group in February 2020 as a Doctoral student while being an affiliated menber of the WASP doctoral program from the Wallenberg foundation. Currently I am developing machine learning algorithms within the realm of social robotics, to improve the quality of interaction between humans and robots.

Previously,  I was researching on combinatorial optimization methods for task planning in TUDelft, Aerospace Faculty, for a large European Project. My strong technical background led me earlier on to become a research Engineer at a self-driving car start-up in Oxford, UK.
