Om mig

As a PhD student in the division of Biocomposites at KTH, a major part of my research project is focused on developing alternative applications for wood based materials. The idea is to use cellulose fibers/fibrils (which are the primary load bearing units in the wood) as a reinforcement in polymer matrices. The control of nanostructure is the main focus, where the effect of the nanostrucure on the hygro-mechanical properties is investigated. High resolution microscopy (SEM, TEM), tensile tests, dynamic mechanical testing, dynamic vapor sorption (DVS), digital image correlation (DIC) etc are some of the tools used to establish the structure property relation at the nanoscale.

Before joining KTH, I completed my Masters from Indian Institute of Technology during the course of which I had the opportunity to work in several international labs on a variety of subjects (polysachharide characterization, graphene composites etc).
