Georgios Papaioannou

Om mig

Georgios Papaioannou is a Postdoctoral Researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, within the ECO2 Vehicle Design Center and KTH Vehicle Dynamics Group. He received his PhD from School of Mechanical Engineering at National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece in 2019. His PhD work focused on the optimization of vehicle and seat suspension systems, prompting novel suspension systems and optimization methods. His PhD was awarded the second award of the Gkiourounlian Scholarship by NTUA praising its potential industrial impact and contribution. After his PhD, he moved at Cranfield University in UK and worked as a Research Fellow on automated vehicles. 

His current research interests include automated and human driven vehicles, vehicle dynamics, human factors, motion comfort, suspension and seat design, tyre modelling, tyre wear, optimization, control and motion planning.
