About me

Shule Wang graduated from the University of Science & Technology Beijing with a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering in 2015. From 2015 to 2022, he completed his Master's and PhD degrees at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, focusing on the conversion of biomass waste into valorized products in a carbon-neutral way. His research concentrated on the life cycle carbon emission assessment and economic analysis of the biomass valorization process.

In July 2022, after working as a temporary researcher for six months, Shule left KTH and joined Nanjing Forestry University as a lecturer and research-focused assistant professor. In July 2024, Shule joined the Carbon Removal Lab at the University of California, Berkeley, as a postdoctoral researcher, working on the carbon footprint and socio-economic aspects of biofuels to support policy decisions for the United States Department of Agriculture.
