About me

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. I received my PhD from University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran. During my PhD, I worked on microstructural characterization, texture and superplastic behavior of Mg-RE alloys after severe plastic deformation (SPD) processes, e.g., ECAP and CGP.

Currently, my research is focused on numerical and experimental studies of selective laser melting (SLM) of Mg alloys. The research includes computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling of melt pool dynamics in order to predict SLM defects as well as development of novel SLM-friendly Mg alloys by using the CFD model and thermodynamic calculations. The aim of the present research is to propose an ICME approach for designing Mg alloys suitable for the SLM process.
