About me

Syed Umer Abbas Shah received his BS degree in Engineering from GIK Institute Pakistan in 2003, Master of Science degree in Wireless Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in 2007 and PhD degree in Microsystem Technology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2014.

Since May 2016, he is a researcher at the Department of  Micro and Nanosystems. His research focuses include milimeter-wave and Terahertz micromachined filters, phase shifters, waveguides, matching circuits and antennas. His further interests includes utilizing MEMS reconfigurablity to achieve tunability at millimeter-wave and terahertz frequencies.

Umer received the "IEEE MTT Graduate Fellowship Award" in 2014 for his research during the course of his PhD. In addition Umer has won the best paper award at the 2010 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference.
