Zipan Cai
About me
Zipan Cai is a Guest Researcher affiliated with the Department of Sustainable Development, Environmental Science, and Engineering (SEED) at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. He holds a Ph.D. in Land and Water Resources Engineering (LWR), completed in 2023, under the supervision of Prof. Vladimir Cvetkovic. Zipan also holds an M.Sc. in Transport and Geoinformation Technology, completed in 2017 at KTH, and a B.Sc. in Geomatics and Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, Canada, obtained in 2014.
His research interests include spatial planning, urban modeling, planning support systems, and smart cities. He has over 14 years of experience in GIS, computer science, and related professional skills. His current research focuses on AI-enhanced spatial dynamic modeling, nature-based solutions, and decision support systems.
