Content and learning outcomes
Course contents
The course is given as a series of lectures and seminars with literature and questions that are to be responded to and discussed.
Intended learning outcomes
The course intends to give an overview of methods used within research on strategies for sustainable development and to give PhD students an opportunity to connect various tools and relevant methods with their own research.

Prerequisites: Same as for being admitted to the PhD program Planning and Decision analysis.

Examination and completion
If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.
Grading scale
Examination
- RAP1 - Report, 1.5 credits, grading scale: P, F
- SEM1 - Seminars, 6.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
Other requirements for final grade
A short report relating the different seminars to own research.
Opportunity to complete the requirements via supplementary examination
Opportunity to raise an approved grade via renewed examination
