In 2006, Christer flew as Mission Specialist on Space Shuttle Discover y for STS-116 to International Space Station and became the first
Swedish astronaut to fly in space. His work anddedication earned him a NASA Space Flight Medal in 2007 and 2009 among other awards. He now works as an adjunct professor in Space Physics at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and at the Swedish National Space Board.
We invite all alumni to give a talk on the topic of Space Travel and Future Challenges.The seminar is free of charge for KTH Alumni if you register in advance. There are limited spots to this event so make sure to secure your spot today.
