Brosenius Hall is a woodworking makerspace for timber engineering at KTH Campus. It is mainly open for students at the master's programme Civil and Architectural Engineering.

Brosenius Hall is focused on:

  • Timber engineering.
  • Wood-based building materials.
  • Timber-based hybrid structures.
  • Model and mock-up building.
  • Full scale timber structures.
  • Mechanical testing of timber structures, in particular connections.

In courses held at Broseniushallen, engineering and architecture students have the opportunity to collaborate and learn from one another. Here, you’ll tackle realistic challenges, such as designing and building a real bridge together. This gives you important experience of how to collaborate between civil engineers and architects. In these courses, ideas are turned into reality through hands-on work, allowing you to practice both problem-solving and innovation, skills that are essential for building the society of the future.
