About me

I am a student at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in the MS Embedded Systems Programme. I completed my bachelors in Electronics and Communication Engineering in India. Right after my bachelors I decided to go for master’s studies as I wanted to learn more about the processes involved in Embedded Systems Design before starting my career in the industry. Now that I am here, I feel that I made the right choice as the realisation came to me that though I might not have industrial experience, I do have an open mind and a good technical background to overcome the odds.

My interest in Electronics dates back to my childhood days when I used to wonder how few buttons on the panel of Ovens and TVs could control such intricate operations. I used to dismantle old calculators and video games just to collect their ICs and pretended to be an engineer. This fascination with small time gadgets motivated me to take up Electronics and Communication Engineering for my Bachelor studies. During my Bachelor studies, I was fascinated by the theoretical concepts introduced and much more when the theory was applied in real life. My involvement with a project during my bachelor studies (which later on became my thesis) completely changed my future plans. I decided to study Embedded Systems further and thus landed at KTH to pursue my master studies.

I have taken a variety of courses at KTH to help me better understand system design – hardware and software. But now I have developed an acute interest in Embedded Hardware Design and am trying to test my knowledge by taking part in various projects. During a course at KTH, I worked  on a project concerning EMG. The aim of this project was to develop an E-Gym trainer. This project helped me land an opportunity to work with an opera group for an interesting project. Currently, I am working on a project with Sandvik Coromant and parallely working on an independent project under the guidance of the Interated Circuits and Systems Group at KTH.

I believe that keeping an exploratory attitude and inquisitive mind is the key to a constant learning process. With this belief in mind, I try to live every day as a student and work on my skill set, not necessarily technical. I am also a strong believer in working for relevant social causes and like to offer my service wherever I can.
