Doctorand at the Division of Soil and Rock Mechanics with research focus in the improvement of the design methodology for the Lined Rock Cavern concept. This work is a contribution to the HYBRIT initiative which is a joint venture project between LKAB, SSAB and Vattenfall to implement the first fossil-free steel-making process in the Swedish industry. Reliability based analysis is used to design underground storages for hydrogen gas. The aim is to optimize the rock-concrete-steel lining interaction with respect to reduction of local strain effects and evaluate the influence of rock heterogeneity on the storage behaviour.
