About me

I am a researcher specializing in intersectional gender studies, culture, and communication within organizations. I have researched organizational cultures in media, journalism, academia, and currently, I am focusing on the fintech industry.

I have led and contributed to projects supported by Norway-grants, Fulbright, ICFJ & UNESCO, the Council of Europe, and the World Bank, all aimed at fostering equity and inclusion within organizational settings.

My academic tenure includes positions at the University of Oslo, UC Berkeley, Stockholm University, the University of Warsaw, and now KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where I work as a researcher in working life and organizations with a gender perspective at the Division for Real Estate Business and Financial Systems. Here, I collaborate with Docent Lotta Snickare on the “Men in Focus” program, exploring homosocial cultures in academia and finance. I also teach an advanced-level course in Management and Leadership.

At the University of Oslo, I worked as a researcher on the “Female Researchers on Track” (FRONT) active-research project for cultural change towards greater gender equality at the largest STEM faculty in Norway. As a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Media and Communication Studies, Stockholm University, I explored news media organizations' responses to the online harassment of women journalists in Sweden, Serbia, and Poland. At the Faculty of Journalism, Information, and Book Studies, University of Warsaw, as Assistant Professor, I served as the Principal Investigator of a Norway-grants funded research project, “Diversity Management as Innovation in Journalism” (2021-2023). This project critically examined and looked for innovative approaches to diversity management practices within newsrooms in Sweden, Poland, and the UK.

In addition to my research, I am actively involved in the International Association of Women in Radio and Television (IAWRT) and serve as Vice-Chair of the ECREA Gender, Sexuality & Communication section. My academic background includes a PhD from SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities and an MBA from Kozminski University.
