About me

I received my Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering with specialization in Electronics&Computers from the School of Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2005.

In 2008 I received my Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Wireless Systems at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. Between October 2008 and May 2015 I was a ph.d. student at the Laboratory for Communication Networks at the School of Electrical Engineering at KTH, under the supervision of Assoc. Professor Viktoria Fodor

In 2010 I was a visiting researcher in the Laboratory for Sensor Networks and Embedded Systems, in the University of Rome, La Sapienza, under the supervision of Assoc. Professor Chiara Petrioli

In 2013 I was a  visiting Researcher and Software Engineer in the Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing Laboratory in Disney Research in Zurich, working with Dr. Stefan Mangold and Dr. Vladimir Vukadinovic, developing, patenting, and prototyping smart wireless 802.11-based solutions for IoT in Disney application scenarios.

In 2014 I was a Researcher and Embedded Software Engineer in the Swedish Institute of Computer Science in Stockholm, Sweden, working within the area of wireless and IPv6 networking for the Internet of Things. Additionally, I have been IoT consultant in Yanzi Networks.

I have been conducting research in various fields of wireless networking, including energy efficient cross-layer (MAC/Routing) design for wireless sensor networks, network protocol optimization for the Internet of Things, and WLAN traffic & channel activity characterization.

My research interests include, additionally, software and OS-optimization for embedded systems.

As of May 2015 I am with Nordic Semiconductor ASA, Norway, as a Senior R&D Engineer working on Bluetooth Smart protocol stack design, standardization and development.
