Regina Filemon Irunde

I am a doctoral graduate under SEED department. My research area covered "The use of available local materials for arsenic (As) removal from drinking water sources around Gold mining area in Tanzania". The research is a part of a project (funded by Sida) dealing with Arsenic and Fluoride contamination in Tanzania which is a collaboration between KTH and UDSM-Tanzania. The research provided promising results that  shows how local material such as soils, rocks, works well on water teatment to remove arsenic and fluoride.
