Pablo Gonzalez Oliveras
I am PhD Student at KTH. I joined the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (Speech, music and hearing Division) in December 2021, under the supervision of Professors Olov Engwall, Ali Reza Majlesi & Iolanda Leite.
As a broad picture, the topic of my investigation revolves around Social robotics for Education. Zooming in, I am interested in Culturally Informed Robots, or better said, the intersection of both worlds (Culturally Informed Social Robots For Education). I (very modestly) collaborated in a few of projects involving Furhat robot (CORALL) acting as a host in language cafe for Swedish learners (as a second language) and planning to get involved in a project where Furhat will behave as both culturally neutral and informed Math student for pre-service teachers.
In the beginning of 2022 I have been working on a Review study of the literature around "Attitudes towards educational robots" in the past 10 years. I believe this study will nurture the whole research by incorporating as many points of views as possible before going deep.
My PhD is very tightly related to the WASP-HS projectCIRILA (Culturally informed robots for learning activities)
I am currently sharing my knowledege and experience to theTechnology-Enhanced Education Group, which I joined in May 2022. Also, from September 2022 I'm contributing to the The Mathematics Teacher Education-group.
